La Danse Macabre

Dr. Fong Says:
They really knew how to party back in the day.

La Danse Macabre, also called Dance of death, La Danza Macabra, or Totentanz, is a late-medieval allegory on the universality of death: no matter one's station in life, the dance of death unites all.

La Danse Macabre consists of the personified death leading a row of dancing figures from all walks of life to the grave—typically with an emperor, king, pope, monk, youngster, beautiful girl, all skeletal.

They were produced under the impact of the Black Death, reminding people of how fragile their lives were and how vain the glories of earthly life were.

Trip proposed to Hollow Earth via Arctic hole

Dr. Fong Says:
I wish them luck! If they need an expert in ufo and ancient lost technologies, look me up. My rates are very fair.

"A U.S. scientist and a small band of believers are planning a journey to the Canadian Arctic for what they call "the greatest geological expedition in history."

"They're looking for a fog-shrouded hole in the Arctic Ocean that leads -- they say -- to the centre of the Earth, where an unknown civilization is lurking inside the hollow core of the planet."

"This is the latest in a long line of attempts to peddle the nutty, yet persistent, theory that humans live on the surface of a hollow planet, in which two undiscovered openings, near the North and South poles, connect the outer Earth with an interior realm."
